History of Cosmetic Makeup

The actual procedure: Patient will present for a consultation which consist of explaining the procedure, medical history should be taken, an explanation of risk and possible complications.

The patient will fill out a consent form prior to procedure. Aftercare instructions are discussed prior to and after procedure.

All procedures are done using clean technique.  Topical esthetics are applied and once area is numb, pigments are used to implant color into the dermal layer.
Machines push the pigment into the skin placing the color into the dermal layer of the skin. The Dermal layers are where out nerve endings are located, as well as our blood cells. The blood cells have the ability to break down and absorb most foreign particles. This is where out immune system begins. Scar tissue encapsulates some of the color particles, causing them to appear lighter, while other pigment particles are absorbed by our immune system.

If a manual hand tools is utilized it implants pigement into the epidermal layer of the skin. The tool is placed on the surface of the skin, gently move the needles forward and up, the action snags the skin for a second before it releases. This snag affect allows pigment to flow into the holes.

Once the procedure is complete it takes the skin 21 days to heal completely and reveal the true final results.
